Memories That Will Never Fade

Sunset rides, mountaintop feasts, an adventure you’ll never forget

DINNER MOUNTAIN RIDE

Group of people having a meal outdoors at a picnic table on a hillside, overlooking mountains and a valley during sunset.

Saddle Up for an unforgettable Adirondack adventure. No visit to the mountains is complete without experiencing them from the back of a horse. This three hour ride begins on quiet forest trails at the base of Beech Mountain, where your horse finds its rhythm along winding paths shaded by tall pines. The climb gradually begins over rock and root through the forest as the mountain rises around you. At 1,470 feet, the trees open to reveal sweeping views of the Adirondack peaks and the glimmer of Lake George in the distance.

At the summit a long linen draped table awaits on the mountaintop where you’ll share a feast with new friends and old stories. Dinner begins with appetizers, watermelon and grilled shrimp, followed by an organic salad and your choice of NY Strip Steak, Salmon, or Chicken, served with farm fresh corn on the cob, baked potato, and seasonal pies. As the last plates are cleared and the evening light softens, you’ll mount back up for the ride down the mountain. The sun dips low behind the peaks, setting the sky ablaze and the steady rhythm of hoofbeats carries you back to the Ranch base through the quiet forest.

This is one of our most popular rides, available on June weekends and throughout July and August during the week and weekends. Spots fill quickly, so be sure to book early for this once in a lifetime mountaintop dinner.

  • This is the highlight of our trip so far in the Lake George area, We went on the sunset dinner ride which was a one hour ride to a family owned mountain peak where a delicious dinner was prepared. Your choice of steak, chicken, or salmon with salad, baked potato, and homemade rhubarb pie. Then, a ride back down the mountain. Our host Jeff Bennett was informative and friendly as were our dinner and riding partners. This is a must do and very close and easy ride from Lake George.

  • While vacationing at nearby Lake George, one evening we took the Dinner Ride. Maybe the most fun Ive ever had in my life. Well trained horses. Guided horseback ride brought us through wooded trails to the top of Beech Mountain. It was here where our dinner was cooked and served overlooking the Adirondack Mountain Range! The food and dessert delicious! Our tour guides were patient, informative and helpful. We recommend the Dinner Ride and will definitely do it again.
